If you are new to using an outdoor pest control service, you may have a lot of questions concerning mosquito and tick control services.
As we eagerly head into the spring and summer months, we look forward to outdoor activities like barbecuing in the backyard. But in the back of our minds, we may be concerned about the threat of mosquito and tick bites. Almost everyone has had the unpleasant experience of being bitten by a mosquito.
At B & D Pest Solutions LLC, our mosquito and tick treatments are designed to eliminate these pests currently living in your yard and prevent the potential for future infestations. We specialize in using environmentally-responsible and effective mosquito and tick control solutions.
If you are new to using an outdoor pest control service, you may have a lot of questions concerning mosquito and tick control services. Here are a few commonly asked questions from some of our customers.
Q: How long does a yard treatment take and how long will it last?
A: A treatment will typically average about 15-30 minutes. A large yard may take a little while longer to treat. Each treatment will last approximately 21 days.
Q: Do we spray for mosquitoes in the grass?
A: It depends on the type of service you’re looking for. If it is strictly mosquito control, then we typically do not treat the grass because it is not where mosquitoes live. When we do our pre-service walk around your property, our goal is to find the “hot spots” where mosquitoes will likely be hanging out.
However, if you need tick, flea, chigger, or no-see-um prevention in addition to mosquito control, then we do treat the grass as many of these other pests live there.
Q: After a treatment, how long before you can go in the yard?
A: We recommend a minimum of 20-30 minutes after your yard has been treated. Once the product is dry, it is safe for your family and pets to enjoy your yard, deck, and pool areas.
Q: Does someone need to be home when your yard is being treated?
A: No, you do not need to be home. As long as your gate in unlocked and your pets are located inside, we can treat your yard without anyone being at home. Upon leaving, our technician will leave a door hanger to let you know treatment has been completed.
Q: What if it rains after your yard has been treated?
A: Depending on the temperature and humidity, it will take between 30-45 minutes for the treatment to dry. As long as it has had sufficient time to dry, rain should not impact the effectiveness of your application treatment.
Q: Do we provide pest services for commercial accounts?
A: YES, we do! Our mosquito and tick control services are a great solution for commercial businesses such as parks, playgrounds, restaurants with patios, campgrounds, schools, sport fields, outdoor wedding venues, and many more.
